My journey in the social sector has been very rewarding with 45 years of experience in direct practice with children and families, grant writing , program development, accreditation processes, capital campaigns, leadership, board development and strategic growth. I love looking forward to what is next. The first 2 decades I was part of a team that grew a local organization into a statewide organization in both rural and urban environments. Much of our growth was intentional and strategic evaluating need, gaps in services, and potential resources to bring impactful solutions to life.
I carried the many lessons learned into my role as a CEO for the last 18 years. I am most proud of what we have built at Casa de los Ninos in a remarkable integrated campus of prevention, intervention and treatment services for children and families. This entailed, building programs, expanding funding models, building and remodeling over 64,000 square feet of real estate to create a community of care.
